This privacy policy explains how TemplateToaster (“we”, “us”) handles personal data when you use our website, our downloadable TemplateToaster Desktop software or our online TemplateToaster AI website builder. This also applies to people who visit this website or websites that our customers create and publish using our tools.

We collect only what we need to provide our products and support you.
If you choose to sign in with Google, we ask Google only for your basic profile: your email address, your name, your Google account id and a link to your profile picture. We use this to create your TemplateToaster account, to sign you in, and to link your Google account to an existing account that has the same verified email address. We store your email address and name. We do not use the picture, we never see your Google password, and we never ask for or receive access to your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts or any other Google data. We do not share Google user data with anyone and we never sell it or use it for advertising. You can disconnect Google from your Account page at any time, or remove TemplateToaster from the connected apps in your Google account; deleting your TemplateToaster account deletes the data we received from Google. TemplateToaster’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the [Google API Services User Data Policy](https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including its Limited Use requirements.
We use your data to create and secure your account, activate your licence, build, host, publish and deliver your websites, take payment, send you service emails such as confirmation codes and receipts, answer your questions, understand how our products are used, and meet our legal duties. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
When you ask TemplateToaster AI to build or change a site, we send your description, instructions, page text and chat messages to an AI model provider so it can produce the result. The provider processes this only to answer the request and does not use it to train its models. We do not send your account or payment details with these requests.
Our online builder sets only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in. They last for the session, or for 30 days if you choose to stay signed in. Our website also uses analytics cookies. Websites published with our tools set no cookies of ours.
We share very limited data with the companies that help us run our products, under contracts that limit what they may do with it: our hosting provider, our payment providers, our AI model provider, the stock photo libraries whose pictures the builder uses, our email delivery provider and our website analytics provider. We also share data where the law requires it or to protect our rights.
Our services are hosted in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, transfers are protected by the safeguards in our providers’ agreements.
If you are visiting a website that a customer published with TemplateToaster AI, the customer who owns the site is responsible for its content and for how they use anything you send them. We host the site. Our servers log the usual technical details of your visit, pages set no cookies of ours and a message you send through a form is emailed to the site owner and not kept by us.
We keep your data for as long as you have an account or a licence, and afterwards for as long as tax, accounting and other laws require. You can delete your TemplateToaster account yourself at any time, which removes your sites and everything in them; copies can remain in backups for a short period. Technical logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted.
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, give you a copy, or stop using it for a particular purpose. You can change your details, disconnect Google and delete your account from profile page. For everything else, write to us through the support page.
All connections to our services use encryption. Stored data is encrypted at rest. We never see your password. Access to customer data is limited to staff who need it. If you think your account has been misused, change your password, sign out everywhere, and tell us.
Our products are for adults and businesses. You must be at least 16 to create an account or buy a licence. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger and will delete it if we learn we have.
When we change this policy we update the date at the top. For changes that matter, we email account holders before they take effect.
