Add border to featured image

Hi
Anyone know how to add a border to an featured image on frontpage?
In generel I really need some styling options in TemplateToaster for the post content on frontpage.

I guess I can use custom css, but im not sure how

I did it know in photoshop. simply drawed a border on the picture. But it seems the wrong way to do it.
