in Joomla Templates by mkwdmike (2k points)
Hi,
I've installed a toaster template for joomla on J2.5. When I try to preview the template (via template manager>Templates) the module positions show for a second and then disappear.

This doesn't happen with the pre-installed templates where the module posines stay on the screen.

Any suggestions? :ugeek:

I installed a template on a local server and had no issues as you describe. What version of tt?

Just tried it again but I've just had an idea it may be the slideshow causing the problem.
Press>>preview
New window opens, modules positions visible for approx 1 second. The disappears when slideshow starts.
Will try a template without a slideshow.

No it wasn't that.

back to the drawing board
Cheers

I will try on a joomla live install with slider and see the results. Let you know later.

Okay,
I've now tried it with slide/without slide
With/without header image
With various whole width settings and with page width settings.

I'm hosted here on a free trial http://mkwd.cloudaccess.net/ while I play with J2.5 to see if it's any good.

I'm going to download a free template now to see if it's cloudaccess or toaster.

Cheers

BTW, did you turn the preview module display on in joomla? You would do this by going to extensios-->template manager-->then options on the menu tape

Okay,

I double checked the module display and it is definitely enabled.

just uploaded a template called siteground and the modules show @ http://mkwd.cloudaccess.net/index.php?tp=1&template=siteground-j16-20

This is the original problem @ http://mkwd.cloudaccess.net/index.php?tp=1&template=toastertest4 refresh the page and you'll see what I mean

Cheers :?

I've now tried with artisteeer and the result @ http://mkwd.cloudaccess.net/index.php?tp=1&template=artytrial is fine

If I put up the Toaster template file and exported zip, is anyone prepared to try it in their J2.5 instal?

That will tell me if it''s Toaster or my host envronment or, maybe even me
