Overlay with Transparent Background

Question

Greetings,
I am trying to create a front page slider with a nav on the left side, the nav will be on a transparent layer. so the slider images will be visible.
I see this done in some of your design suggestions but don't know how to do it.

HI,

You can place the menu inside the Header. You can do it from Menu -> Menu Position -> Inside Header. Then set the menu background to no color.
