Set index page and pagetemplate1

Question

Hi,

i'd like to find a way to set the basic settings of my index page (link, font, heading etc.) and then to find them set in my pagetemplate1 - unless, one by one, being forced re-set all the basics in my pagetemplate1 also.

Is it possible?

p.s.
a friend just showed me something similar I'm asking for on artisteer: if he sets the color of a font (he tried this) on his main page, the same color is set in the post page...

Hi,

The index Page in WordPress is default Page. If you set the Index Page, the same settings are inherited by PageTemplate1, therefore, first try to set the index page completely as you want and then set the pageTemplate1.
