Styling the text in the footer

Question

I'm trying to style the text in my footer by using typography - text - color but the change isn't applying to the footer at all. I suppose I could select the text and turn it white, but I would rather have it styled than having extra divs/spans in my code.

We are not able to generate this case at our end. The text color in the footer changes successfully at our end.
