google fonts font weight

Hi,

I'd like to use a lighter font weight from normal from google fonts, however the only way seems to be to manually edit the head.phtml file to load the different font weights. eg open sans :300, 400

is there a better way of doing this?
or can you enable selecting the font weight when loading a font?

You can download the different categories of that font and can install it as custom fonts, like condensed category provides lighter font-weight than normal one. Then you can select any desired font-weight of custom fonts.
