Export missing header information

Question

I managed to create a Joomla template with a very nice header, menus, added a nice header image, put in a Title, slogan, added an extra text box, everything looks good under the template Toaster program. However when I pre-view it I only get the header image, no title, no slogan, no extra text box, everything is missing???? Even tried to export and install this template into a local running joomla site, same thing. Can someone point me in the right direction as to what I'm doing wrong???
