Joomla 3.6 Article table of contents looks ugly

Dear forum users,

I am experiencing an issue with the table-of-contents in Joomla 3.6: it appears to show too long 'tabs' and borders around the table-of-contents are not visible. I don't think I have been able to 'configure' this in the templatetoaster software. See screenshot below:

What options in the templatetoaster software (what 'tab', for example: "Content", "Page", "Header") do I need to use to change this? Or is it possible that a plugin I installed is interfering?
