Sidebar menu is a aligned same as main menu. Submenu is opened also in same way as main menu. There is possibility to format sidebar menu differently than main menu in Template toaster. But when is template imported in Drupal 8 site, sidebar menu "inherits" aligment and other format (how is opened submenu,...) from main menu.
