problem with field button

in every default template I use the buttons never have the format I want
as an example a (first template in the list) this is how the buttons look in virtuemart

in breez3 the same buttons look like this 

 

and if selected the look like this

anyone have any idea what I need to adjust so that the buttons look good like the breez3 example
