size of image background

Hi, I'm trying to put an image as the background. It works fine except the image seem a bit distorted. I try'ed changing the size of the image from the included tools in TT, doesn't seem to change anything. My question is, do you recommend a size of image so that it doesn't seem distorted?

Hi, I use the same image for 2 different website backgrounds. super-site.ca and sanssortir.com

notice the image in background how it's being stretch in one of them. I just want to know a good image size to upload to make a ice looking background. I'm pretty sure it's not TT's fault, just want to know a good size image to have a nice looking (not too stretchy look) background.
