How do I add my Google Key to my template?

Please follow the instruction given in the link https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1032385?hl=en
Copy the tracking code script generated and paste it, at TemplateToaster -> General ->  Editors -> JavaScript ->  paste and save

I have the same issue and tried to implement the solution you mentioned to add the code script to the JavaScript tab, but received an error message "Please remove <script> and </script> tag". When I removed it, the script didn't work. Please advice!
