Where do I find these annoying BG colors?

I have searched through the menus, but can't turn these annoying, ugly blocks of color off. Where please? Thanks.

Just remove "border-top" and "background" styles from following rules from your plugin stylesheet:

h2:before {
border-top: 17px solid #EBEBEB;
}

h2 span {
background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #FFFFFF;
}
