Removing CALENDAR and SEARCH bar in Side Bar

how do i get rid of the calendar and search bar and all those custom stuffs inside the side bar?

Hi,
I am new to TT but I am guessing that they will not show up in your joomla/WP/etc... unless you actually utilise them in the CMS instillation, e.g., if you do not want a search box do not use a search in you CMS instillation.
