Cannot open old templates with TT3.0

Question

Hello,
I upgraded my TT2.1 to version 3.0 and now I can not open my 2.1 templates anymore with the new version. I allways get a message saying "file is not compatible with current version or corrupted". The files are not corrupted, I can still open them in 2.1. So is there a compatibility issue? Did I miss something (converter)? Is it a bug? Does anyone else have an experience with this update?

By the way, I would be nice to have a brief overview of the changes, fixes, improvements...

Hi,

Please save your ttr in the last 2.1 version. You can download it from http://templatetoaster.com/downloads/last_version/templatetoaster.exe

After that ttr file will be compatible with 3.0

Hi,
thank you for your quick replay. I installed the latest 2.1 version and saved the templates again, then tried with 3.0. Unfortunately it doesn't work. The previous error message does not show up anymore, but now the program crashes ("TemplateToaster does not work any more". I am using Win7 64bit. Maybe the following error details can help:

Hi,

Both files are opening perfectly fine at our end. Please try downloading latest version(3.0.0.5135) from http://templatetoaster.com/downloads/TemplateToaster.exe

Hi,

thanks, that's the solution! I had 3.0.0.5088 before (update check said "no update available"). Build 5135 works perfectly, I can now import all former templates.
Nevertheless, it would be great to know, what has been changed compared to 2.1.
