Horizontal menu not working

Question

I have uploaded my joomla template to Joomla 3 and everything seem to be working OK except for one essential thing.
The horizontal menu isn't showing up the way it did when creating the template.

Here 's what it looks like

I managed to solve the problem on my own.

I just removed nav-pills as the Menu Class Suffix and it worked.

Usually Google says what you should add nav-pills as the Menu Class Suffix for the menu to show horizontal, but in this case the opposite worked :)
