Slideshow in Header

Question

I am trying to make my first theme, but I want a slideshow inside the header. It seems I can only choose to place the slideshow above, between and under . How can I do that? Thanks.

Slideshow inside header is not possible , but you can use slideshow as a header and slideshow contains almost every feature of header . Like if you want to have title or slogan then you can have that with the help of text area, but search box will not be available in slideshow.

Ah ok. So I should choose a layout without header and then place a slideshow above it?
