how do i remove the default Wordpress widgets from appearing on pages where i want no sidebar

Question

Specifically the search and calendar widgets. i dont seem them on the widgets screen and i cant find any setting to remove them ethier.

Hi,

The search and calendar widgets are the default widgets of the left sidebar, whereas, the categories and archives are the default widgets of the right sidebar. When you place any widget in the left sidebar the default widgets (like, calendar and search) will automatically replace by the new one.
So, If you do not want to show any widget in the sidebar, then you have to remove the sidebar, at TemplateToaster -> General -> Sidebars -> None.
